This, I painted in about 1986, for the book “South Australia Revisited”. (See Biography)
You can find Colin Thiele’s story about it there. I particularly enjoyed the roof which appeared to be prepared for launching off on its wings. The colours in the galvanised iron I repeated in the pinks and blues of the grass.
It’s still there, 10 minutes out of Hahndorf.
