Neighbourhood Watch
This was painted twenty-five years ago, in the 7 acre garden of a very eccentric, very tall, creative, elderly lady called Patsy. She had commissioned a clever bricklayer, to create a circle of bricks, from which the garden paths radiated. I enjoyed sitting the cat in the middle of my painting. Patsy also kept bees, made her own shoes and wove her own woollen clothes.
