Noonday Sun at Moculta

Noonday Sun at Moculta
I was in the Barossa, searching for subjects for my first exhibition there. The early eighties, I guess. It was a very hot windy day. I saw the cows lying down in a herring bone pattern, leading the eye to the thatched barn. Delightful were the expressive cows’ ears, the swallows circling round, the tree trunks holding up the thatch and the imaginative range of cast iron, and kitchen, implements holding the thatch down.
